The French@UT project

Selected in the framework of the “Bienvenue en France” call for projects, the French @UT project aims to help international students make the most of their stay in France by offering a host of free activities based on the notion of learning more about the French language and culture.

French @UT, a project that takes an original approach to French language learning

French @UT at University of Toulouse was selected in the framework of the “Bienvenue en France” call for projects. The goal of this project is to enable international students of the member institutions to make the most of their stay in France by offering a host of free activities based on the notion of learning more about the French language and culture. These fun, interactive workshops aim to help students perfect their language skills, find out more about French culture and get settled in Toulouse more easily.

Four theme-based activities from September to June

“Methodology” workshops

These workshops provide you with tools and techniques to help you make a success of your time studying in Toulouse. Classes are organised to fit in with the university schedule: academic written exams, drafting of your dissertation, preparing for a work placement.

“Afterwork” events

Afterwork events offer an opportunity for French people and international students to meet and mingle outside of the university setting. These get-togethers provide a context in which to discuss student life in Toulouse, the French way of life, and intercultural topics.

“Fun and games” workshops

Learn French through a series of well-known games, or games with a local twist, and practise speaking the language in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

“Culture” workshops

Culture workshops aim to give you an insight into French art through a range of events: film screenings and debates, theatre outings,Toulouse museum tours, French song evenings, and more.
Traditional seasonal celebrations such as Christmas, and major events throughout the year, such as Europe Week, will also be marked by a host of fun, educational activities.
